Juventus are in talks with Valencia over the possible transfer of Andre Gomes and Shkodran Mustafi. As per the reports from Express Sport, the clubs have a verbal agreement regarding the two players with £24 million fee for the Portuguese midfielder said to be the discussed price.
Now TuttoSport has reported that since the agreement between the clubs is only verbal and nothing official, Manchester United may hijack the deal at the last moment with a better offer. Manchester United are set to announce the arrival of Jose Mourinho in the coming weeks and if that happens then United has a strong link to Andre Gomes as the player and the manager share the same agent Jorge Mendes.
However, United’s bitter rival Liverpool are also keen on the player. Even though the English clubs are interested, Juventus is still said to be in the leading position to sign the midfielder so United will have to move quickly.
