18 Goals In 31 Games: Is This French Goal Machine A Right Choice For Manchester United?

The Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette has been on Manchester United’s wanted list along with several other Premier League club. The French footballer has been on a roll in the Ligue 1 since 2014/15 season.

United highly needs some top-class players to the club to outclass everyone in the next season and come back to their original standards. They are getting in talks with whichever player seems to fit in the squad, Lacazette being one of them.

Whoever’s decision it may be, it just doesn’t seem right.

Lacazette is great but not enough or sure to make a difference at the club which can take them back to glory days. Statistics isn’t everything. If stats were to be considered as the only requirement or the main one, then Memphis should have done wonders at Manchester United by now or even Schweinsteiger in that case. A striker with a finish of Van Persie and pace of Rashford is what United really needs. Not a player which looks good only on papers.

The French international is a player who likes to keep the ball more to himself and passes around less. Passing around for a few minutes outside the box and then attempting with an average shot at goal is how it is done these days at Manchester United. (Yes, it was a taunt.)

Anyway, even if given time, Lacazette may become worthy of being labeled as a star at United but time is what United appears to be deprived of.

Van Gaal or whoever replaces him must go for an obvious deal- someone who has tons of experience and can net the ball better than those who are already at Old Trafford.
