Manchester United send a touching message to former manager Louis van Gaal after prostate cancer diagnosis.

In this season full of injuries and disappointing games, Manchester United has somehow kept their standard up to a decent level if not the best. They are fighting hard in the Barclays Premier League and the FA Cup.  But it still doesn’t remain to be of United’s standards even if they manage to win FA Cup and qualify for Champions League.

There have been claims revolving around the club that if United actually manages to finish fourth in the Barclays Premier League and on top of that wins the FA Cup, Louis van Gaal will remain at the club for his last year according to his contract.

Now it’s funny to think that clubs like Manchester United spending tons of money on buying players and still struggling to even compete for the title, let alone the disqualification in the European competitions. And Louis van Gaal will be kept as the manager of the club for another whole year if the club achieves such a minor goal? It’s bollocks!

There is no doubt about his earlier career as a fantastic manager at different clubs and his success . But his tactics just don’t work in the Premier League or at least, at Manchester United. His so called “philosophy” has totally changed United’s style of play and ruined many players to play in their original position.

His only achievement at the club has been the recognition of the young talent in big matches. Van Gaal gave many youth players their debut and surprisingly, they did really well. Players like Marcus Rashford and Fosu-Mensah are still including in the starting line-up even though most of the first team players have returned from the injury. And if it wasn’t for the injuries, those academy graduates might have never got the chance to debut for the main team anytime soon. So basically, the only achievement or should I say talent which Van Gaal has shown at United is a luck. The Dutch boss had no other option except play the youngsters. Luckily, it turned out to be a pretty decent for him. It further lessens the hate for him by many fans.

In a recent interview, Van Gaal said, “We need quick and creative players. I’ve said that also in the transfer period. That’s a tricky remark because I have to manage PLAYERS WHOSE QUALITY is not always what I want.”

Really after spending more than 250 million pounds, that’s the excuse a manager of his standard comes up with? The only player to shine out of all his signings is Anthony Martial and to some extent, Schneiderlin too.

If Louis van Gaal stays at the club for another year, Manchester United won’t be profited from it. His second season at United had no improvements in the team. If Jose Mourinho is really available and ready to be in charge if the team, then he should definitely replace the Dutch manager.
