As per reports from A Bola, Manchester United are heading towards completing a deal for Renato Sanches for £40m in the summer. The Benfica winger has been linked with Manchester United for quite some time and some reports say that the club had bid for Sanches in the January transfer window but failed to complete the deal.
The 18-year old has had an impressive season for Benfica and also has made an international debut against Bulgaria. As per the reports Manchester United has already decided to reinforce their midfield irrespective of who their manager is. Bastian Schweinsteiger gamble has not really paid off and Michael Carrick, currently 34-year old will be out of contract in the summer.
Jose Mourinho is the favorite to take over from Louis Van Gaal in the summer and the Portuguese manager is said to be an admirer of Sanches. The Red Devils are willing to cough up £40m is saying a lot about his quality.
