Manchester United Player Ratings vs Everton

Another victory for the Red Devils, giving them a lift to their current goal of finishing fourth in the Premier League. It certainly wasn’t an easy win but Anthony Martial however, managed to get a goal in the 54th minute of the match.

Van Gaal’s side was exposed few times and struggled to attack well against the Toffees. The fixture was an exciting one and was pretty much neck to neck.

Player Ratings

David De Gea: 8

Another clean sheet for the Spanish international. Was alert on the few occasions he needed to be.

Matteo Darmian: 7

The Italian defender produced a strong and steady performance, blocking threats from Baines. Darmian also delivered few great balls inside Everton’s box in the first-half.

Chris Smalling: 7

Very well managed to keep Lukaku uncomfortable in the box.

Dailey Blind: 8 (MOTM)

Blind was fantastic up against Lukaku. He made important challenges and interceptions. Easily, one of the best displays in United colours so far.

Marcos Rojo: 5

A rather poor game by the Argentine. Couldn’t keep up against Deulofeu and was replaced at the half-time.

Michael Carrick: 6

Looked a bit off in the game but still managed to have a positive influence with his long passes and calmness.

Morgan Schneiderlin: 7

The Frenchman seemed very comfortable in his duties. Made few key passes and showed no signs of nerves.

Juan Mata: 6

A very decent performance by the Spanish playmaker after struggling to get into the game in the beginning of the match.

Jesse Lingard: 7

Lingard continues to impress the manager and fans with his consistent form. Was in the right position at the right time and a threat to Everton’s defence.

Anthony Martial: 8

Scored the only goal of the match. The French forward created chances and played top class football even though he didn’t have enough of ball time.

Marcus Rashford: 7

The youngster again had a decent display. Even though he didn’t get a goal, he made a great impact on attacking line and was confident throughout the game.

SUBSTITUTES:

Fosu-Mensah (for Rojo, 45’): 6

Played better than Rojo and did a good job at both attack and defense.

Herrera (for Carrick, 58’): 6

Valencia (for Blind, 81’): 5
