Name: Ousmane Dembele
Current Team: Rennes
Age: 18
Shirt Number: 23
Preferred Position: Attacking Midfielder
Height: 5 feet 9 inches

Ousmane Dembele has recently been the main object of attention for Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Stoke City, Southampton and West Ham United. The 18-year-old has been tipped as one of the best talents to emerge from France.

Dembele has scored 9 goals in 20 appearances this season for the French club, Rennes. The 18-year-old scored his first goal on his full debut in Rennes’ 2–2 draw versus Bordeaux and his first hat-trick in a 4–1 victory over Nantes in the Derby Breton.

Manchester United will be looking to spend big bucks on the French player who has taken Ligue 1 by storm, in the upcoming transfer window.

Dembele has gone to show that he can play at any position ahead of the centre line. In his academy days, he used to play mostly on the left and had scored 13 goals in 18 games.

United’s scouts have given a thumbs up on the forward who has already got nine goals this term. Staid Rennais seemingly want £30.7million for the player regardless of his young age, but based on his form so far, it could be worth it.

Ousmane has had an average match rating of 7 which is good enough for a player with not much of an experience.

CHARACTERISTICS:

Dembele has a knack of getting past defenders with his incredible trait of dribbling. He is good at taking set-pieces and makes key passes, adding to his ability to play as a “playmaker” for his team.
Being 5 feet and 9 inches tall, he is not good at aerial duels. His contribution to defense is almost nil. He does not dive into tackles.
