Ever since making his debut in October 2015, Renato Sanches, the 18 year old Benfica midfielder has impressed everyone. Having started 14 games since then at this age definitely speaks about the confidence he bestows upon the manager.
Call by some as “the new Ronaldinho”, Sanches is reported to be targeted by Manchester United in the summer. The club’s manager Rui Vitoria also had earlier said that the player may leave the club in the summer. It looked all set for Manchester United to snap up the player. Until now.
Spanish daily AS has reported that Real Madrid too are interested in the services of Sanches and wants to make him their marquee signing in the summer. The player has a contract with Benfica till 2021 and a release clause of €80 million but that is not a roadblock in the Spanish giant’s approach. The only thing that can interfere though is a certain Manchester United and vice versa.
