Manchester United are reported to have decided on Louis Van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford. As per the news report from The Sun, the Dutchman will relinquish control at the end of the season and Jose Mourinho, “special one” will take over.
As per reports, Mourinho is already preparing his plan to strengthen Manchester United squad and will be looking to make Rafael Varane his first signing when he joins the club. The Frenchman is a highly regarded defender and have worked under the Portuguese when he was at Real Madrid.
Manchester United currently have Blind and Smalling as center backs but the other players in that role, Jones and Rojo are unable to recover from their injury for a considerable duration. As a result, Mourinho has identified that the United defense needs more strength and has made Varane his priority target in the summer. United is reported by BBC to have already had a discussion with Mourinho’s agents regarding the takeover.
