Yesterday we reported a snippet from El Confidencial that Mourinho will be heading to Manchester United as Pep Guardiola has decided to join Manchester City. Now Marca, another sport outlet and several others have confirmed the news.
Right now the United board does not want fire Louis Van Gaal mid-season and get the team distracted but has been reported to have held talks with Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese seemed to have said “Ok” to the offer. Obviously, he is pleased to get the opportunity to coach the massive club.
Marca also reported that if LVG were to be sacked, Giggs will act as the interim manager but Mourinho will take over when the season ends. The report is however not as elaborate as the one by Confidencial, but with several of the publications reporting the same news, something may actually be brewing behind the scene. The only stumbling roadblock seems to be the reputation of Mourinho for misbehaving in the public.
