Here are the player ratings for the Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Stoke City.

David De Gea- 6

Did not have a single save to make.

Matteo Darmian- 7

A much better game for the Italian. Shut down Arnautovic who had absolutely no impact on the game whatsoever. Looked good going forward putting in a beautiful ball for Juan Mata after some good footwork.

Chris Smalling- 7

Didn’t have much to do. Dealt with Crouch pretty easily.

Daley Blind- 7

Made one or two good interceptions, but didn’t have much to do apart from that.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson-7.5

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson

Another solid performance by the young left-back. Did very well going forward as well putting in a terrific cross that was headed into the back of the net by Jesse Lingard.

Michael Carrick- 7.5

Always a threat because of his forward passing. Did a good job today for United once again. Looked comfortable on the ball.

Marouane Fellaini- 7

A much improved display from the big Belgium. Made his presence felt on the pitch and did his job well. Went off to a rousing applause late on in the game.

Jesse Lingard- 7

Opened the scoring with a good diving header. Didn’t make much of an impact thereafter, but definitely a much better performance. Provided the much needed width.

Juan Mata- 7

Playing in his favoured position, Juan Mata put in a very good performance. He was all over the pitch making things happen. Although his finishing wasn’t great, missing one or two glaring chances. He did very well in the build up to Anthony Martial’s goal.

Anthony Martial- 8.5

He just gets better and better. Another terrific performance out on the left hand side. Caused problems throughout the game and looked to cut inside and make his way into the area. He doubled United’s lead with a wonderful finish into the top right corner.

Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney- 8.5

Another terrific performance from the skipper. Provided an excellent ball for Martial for his goal before eventually scoring United’s 3rd. His movement was good all game. It’s now his 7th goal in 7 appearances.

Substitutes:

Memphis- 5

Came on way too late to make an impact. Did look lively.

Ander Herrera –N/A

Andreas Pereira- N/A
