Renato Sanches, 18, had a wonderful season so far for Benfica has attracted interest from several of the European giants. Now as per Daily Mail report, Red Devils are very keen to land the midfielder and are negotiating with Benfica to move the deal forward.
The young midfielder has a buyout clause of £60 million which is a deal breaker for any club in the winter transfer window. However, it is understood that the Portuguese club is willing to let the youngster go for half of that price. While the amount is £30 million is not very high for a club like United, but still is a considerable amount of money for a 18-year-old youngster.
United has not purchased a single player so far and has made only two transfers in letting Valdes and Preston leave the club. Many in the media are suspecting Louis Van Gaal’s uncertain future as the root cause for transfer inactivity.
